Playface Accessibility Statement

Many Internet users with disabilities find websites difficult or even impossible to use simply because of the way they are designed. We have a responsibility under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) to ensure our pages are accessible to all and we take this responsibility very seriously.

Our website is designed to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative (W3CWAI) Level 2 (AA) guidelines as a minimum but where possible we comply with the higher level 3 (AAA) guidelines.

If you come across a part of our site that is difficult to use or could be improved in terms of accessibility we apologise and would be very grateful if you could contact us. Your feedback is an invaluable part of the process of improving our site.

Note - the text on this page has been set to a large size to help those having problems to read the instructions below

When the Playface website was designed we took a number of accessibility issues into account.

One consideration was that of partially sighted users and the ability for them to be able to re-size the text on the Playface website using their browser. This allows people who have difficulty in reading small text onscreen to view the pages clearly.

However, having included this function in the website design some users have had problems viewing the site because they have their browsers set to a small text size without realising it.

Many websites don't allow users to set their own text size so often the first time you may notice the problem is on visiting a site like Playface that allows you these controls.

How to change your text size

Internet Explorer

First select 'View' from your browser toolbar.
Then select 'Text size' from that menu.
Finally make sure you have 'Medium' selected (for standard text size - you may choose another setting if you wish, larger than standard text.)

AOL Browser Users

Select 'My AOL', then 'Preferences' and click the 'WWW' icon.
In 'Advanced Settings', select 'Browser Display' and choose an appropriate text size.

Mozilla Firefox Users

First select 'View' from your browser toolbar.
Then select 'Text size' from that menu.
To increase the text size click 'Increase Ctrl++' and to reduce it, click 'Decrease Ctrl +-'
